In Chiang Mai for the first time, the International Balloon Fiesta 2012 welcomes you to be part of this exciting event being held from January 20-22, 2012. The event will include more than 20 balloon teams from 15 countries, in a festive setting that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
Apart from balloon launching, Chiang Mai International Balloon Fiesta 2012 features a range of activities such as Radio Controlled Model Airplane Show, live concerts from Chiang Mai's talented local bands, and a spectacular NightGlow balloon exhibition. Guests to the event will also enjoy booths of fabulous food, local arts and crafts, merchandise, and a kid's zone. For those who are interested in making this an even more memorable experience, it is possible to book a flight in one of the balloons and fly into the bright blue sky. Price for pre-booking is 6,000 THB per person and price during the fiesta is 8,800 THB per person. After four successful years of holding the annual International Balloon Fiesta in Pattaya, this year’s event will be held in Chiang Mai for the first time. More than 20 balloons from all over the world will be participating, including teams from Belgium, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, The Netherlands, Switzerland, United States of America, Vietnam and Thailand.
