To celebrate Thai kite flying history and culture, Traditional Thai Kite Festival 2012 will be held in Chiang Mai during January 21 -22, 2012 at PTIS international school.

Hosted by Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning and  PTIS International School, the annual Thai Kite Festival is back again to paint the sky of Chiang Mai with colorful displays of both Chula (male) and Pakpao (female) kites.

Now in Chiang Mai, Traditional Thai Kite Festival 2012 features a huge kite flying show  by professional kite fliers, kite flying competitions, and history of royal kite flying exhibition. Besides, guests to the event are welcome to join kite making workshops and practice flying a kite with professionals.

Aside from observing the colorful kite soaring and spinning in the sky, everyone will also enjoy live music, delicious Thai and Western food, entertaining circus skill workshops, and much more throughout the day.

Whether you're a visitor wanting to have a good time while being able to merge with Thai culture or look for a relaxed family activity, come along and be part of this festive Kite Festival with us.

Entry fee is 100 baht including your DIY kite at one of the workshops and one Raffle Prize entry (top prize is a buffet lunch for two at the Shangri-La Hotel).
